SAVASANA PROLECT  I  2022
Size:  45 sq. m.
Location: Irpin, Ukraine
Architect and visualization: Zagrai Anastasiia

Savasana project is a small apartment located in Irpen, a city occupied by Russian troops.
We started developing this project before the full-scale war, and finished it 70 days after the liberation of Irpen, that is the embodiment of faith in the peaceful future of Ukraine and the desire to rebuild the war-torn cities as soon as possible.

The customer is a yoga instructor and a staunch minimalist, so we merge Balinese design traditions and Japanese aesthetics, creating a home as a cozy refuge to retreat to in a busy everyday life.

Clear geometry is complemented by rounded, bionic shapes. This technique allowed to unite all zones together, creating an integral, enveloping space.

The area of the apartment, excluding the terrace, is only 40 m^2, and the owner wanted to see her house spacious and full of air, so most of the total area we took to the studio, which combines the functions of kitchen, dining and living room. Thanks to the transformed design of the bed and zoning only by the curtain, the bedroom is easily merging with the living room into a small studio, where the client will conduct group yoga classes.
We decided to make the dressing room and bathroom passable, inspired by the cult apartment of Kerry from the series "Sex and the City", this technique will allow separating the private space with the studio space.
